Meet Edgar Veigl,
Our 2026 Bürgermeister

Edgar Veigl is a descendant of the original German settlers who founded Cullman, and he has spent his life keeping that heritage alive, from his years strengthening our sister city relationship with Frankweiler to the historic homes and buildings he has restored throughout our community. That is exactly what a Bürgermeister should be: someone whose everyday life already reflects the pride and heritage we celebrate every October.

This October, Edgar will represent Cullman Oktoberfest at Depot Park, welcoming visitors and carrying forward the same spirit his family has held onto for generations. Come raise a stein with him and celebrate the heritage that makes Cullman what it is.
